Merry Christmas all,
Just had a go at cleaning my brown down pipes with product being sold over the counter of my local Motarrad dealer. It's called Optiglanz (appears to be locally made, not much in the way of advertising or flashiness to the bottle), but f*ck me does it bring them up good. Just by spraying the probably highly corrosive liquid on, waiting for a few seconds then wiping off with a clean cotton rag, all but the worst heat damage was completely removed.
I was chuffed to bits, took about 30 mins all in and I have save myself the price of a set of down pipes to match my new can (Remus Powercone - see other threads).
No sure whether it's available widely but it's only about £8.00 for a 300ml bottle. I needed about a third of a bottle to do the lot.
Have a ganders for yourselves...
Let me know if you want some and can't get, a reply on here will suffice. Have a great Hogmanay and look forward to another cool year of MotoGp.
