My BT Yahoo Mail from BT Internet recently failed.

The 'system' kept asking me for log in passwords and user name change. I changed each, changed them again and again and again until, finally, i gave up.

I contacted BT Executive Team under CEO Gavin E Patterson their CEO, who said they would get back to me so i waited. I then changed the settings at source i.e. BT Yahoo page and I appeared recover all the missing emails from my In Box. I didn't check my sent items and wish i had.

I have a swathe of missing emails from most recent days back to 2012 - some of these are rather important for lots of reasons.

Again i contacted BT Exec Team who got back to me yesterday. They cannot recover the missing emails and can't tell me where they have gone!! WTF!! So its now my problem apparently. They do not wish to deal with this and wanted me quickly off the line.

I have tried my own ways with no success.

So, if ANY of you run BT Yahoo or BT Mail, check your Sent Items as well as INBOX. I really do not hope you experience my pain. But if sadly you do, i encourage you to write to [email protected]. He is the CEO and will understandably assign this to one of his executive complaints team.

I had the same in the past. I think it was linked to them no longer delivering email via yahoo. I found Safiest way was to make sure I was configured for pop3 so that it downloads to my PC rather than IMAP which reads and browses online without moving to your device.

Re: the password reset if you do get through to a person you can blag the passwords off them - I've done it a couple of times ( legitimately)
