Just spent a most productive 3 hours with BTBR this afternoon where he fitted my Migsel light bar, Micro DE and PIAA P1000's.

This guy is very professional....yes I know you have all read/heard this before ....but when you get to deal with someone who genuinely enjoys what he does and in such a pleasant/professional manner it deserves publicity. The light fitting was great...all joints/fittings/wiring done as good as I have seen anywhere and all the why's and wherefores explained...even if BTBR did confuse me after the first word or two about what wire does what... :nenau :nenau

Anyway the ride home seemed to bear out the advantages of extra lights as 'probably' more cars saw me and moved over to allow me to pass (unless it was just a case of there being more 'polite' box drivers out today).....and tonight...absolutely 'brilliant' (excuse...no pun intended). On dip beam both sides of the road are now clearly visible and on main beam...ROAD MELTERS!!! :clap :clap :clap

Best of all is that even with a fair amount of 4 wheel traffic out and about I didn't get a single 'Oi you're blinding me' type flash.

So if you are out there thinking of getting this done....don't think about it DO IT.....it's worth every penny.

And Mrs BTBR sausage butties are pretty good as well.

All hail BTBR :bow :bow :bow

Cheers Roger. :thumb

I must admit that this was the first time that I had seen those PIAA 1000 lights. Very nice looking light, I will be most interested to hear how they perform.

As for the sausage butties, had the kids not "raped & pillaged" the sarnies on the short journey from the kitchen to the garage, then we would have both had more internal content. :o :o :o

Now lets see some photos of those PIAA lights then?

Hey presto............the lot switched on.

Is the yellow wire connected to a generator? :D

Aren't there any battery issues likely to arise from drawing so much power? Having read previous threads re. heated vests, Sat Nav, MP3 player creating battery problems, I thought the GS batteries were fairly sensitive to excess current being drawn .....??

I have never heard of any issues directly relating to the fitment of extra lights and battery drain.

As you will most likely be reving the engine when the lot is switched on, the current will be coming from the OTT alternator rather than the battery anyway.

Always a first I suppose...............

Hey Demongroover

Sorry for delay in reply to your question....On the move they are fantastic. Both sides of the road well lit (much better on dip as well as you can see the road edges better against oncoming traffic) and it seems as if there is more 'depth' to the illumination as well. By the way I don't just have these lights fitted but I also have PIAA bulbs in the original lights as well so I suppose if I am not happy with this lot there's nowhere else to go.........

Cheers and don't wait too long to go see BTBR
