Bubbling Tourance

Noticed yesterday that the front tyre is bubbling on the main thread. When you rub it, it flakes away. First I thought the tyre was too hard but I had checked the pressures in the morning all seemed ok.

Now I do throw the bike around but no breaking in corners or any of that.

Anybody else have any ideas. (Before we get you can't drive for toffee thread going, seroius posts only)

I expect it's because you can't drive for toffee.


Can you describe the problem a little more fully? Bubbling where & how? How thick are the flakes that come off? A picture would probably paint a thousand words.....

Do you mean it's shearing in the middle ???
Most tyres will do this on a long fast stretch.
