Have had a tyre changed recently and before it was changed all was good....as soon as I had the new tyre fitted , it just didn't feel right.....now when I put the front wheel on machine and look at it closely it is buckled....has anyone else ever had a problem ??

I find that very hard to get my head around. Are you sure it's not that tyre isn't properly seated?

What tyre was fitted , some conti trail attacks were faulty and cause similar symptoms to a buckled wheel

Hi, it was a conti ....but re tried the old tyre and it's defo gone out of shape....had the wheel looked at by Haygon ?? ...they said it's really hard to pull them back true....but I can not get my head round it either, coz until I had my tyre changed I never had a problem...pissed off is an under statement.

Is the wheel buckle/runout in this direction > o < or this direction > I < ?

Does my artistic impression make sense? :nenau

:blast
Yes it does!! ....it's side to side and not egg shaped ....does that make sense?! Lol

Not sure why the head slap is necessary but...

runout doesn't mean oval .... egg shaped, to you. It means offset from centre. :blast

How old is the bike and what mileage? They can go out of true and I've had it twice on the rear.

if the tyre man used a machine to mount the new tyre i would think it almost impossible to distort the rim .
i have been fitting tyres for thirty years both on machines and by hand and have never buckled a rim.
i think you need to find someone else to blame:augie

To put more meat on my statement of the rear going out of true, I was on very tough roads at fairly high speed so I think they went out with big hits or pot holes. I've also put a massive dent in a front alloy as well so I really need to look where I'm going;)
