On the way home from work the tyre pressure monitoring light came on and when l got home l looked at the tyre to see a nail in the centre on the tread.

Anyone know of a good puncher repairer in north London?

I have anakee 3 fitted thats only covered 2500 mile

He was a good puncher but I'm not sure if he repaired them. :D

I've just remembered. This one did the repairs. :blast

I had one too, large hole. All my green slime fell out. Fixed with a mushroom plug, pumped up with a Halfords electric pump.

Hey I'm allowed......... i after a days work my brain is a little fried..... Specially in this heat. An spelling aint my forte

"Especially" ... :D

Wow. It's the end of the world as we know it. Someone got a puncture - sorry a "puncher"

Yes l have a puncture,

my bike is my only personal transport to work and back and is used most days around north London and lm loving it to bits.

Is it the end of the world.....

Well no, as tomorrow l will take my misses g650gs instead.

All l was asking was has any one used or know of a good puncture repair company ( in north London)as my anakee 3 has only done 2500 mile and Michelin say that they can be repaired once

Tyres can be repaired, *but* it depends where the puncture is on the tyre. Go talk to someone who knows, like the guys at Essential Rubber :D

No, I've no connection other than being a happy customer for many years.

If it's a nail in the central area of tread it should be easy to plug. Leave the nail in and pump it up and ride to a repair shop or better still do it yourself. JJH

Cheers thanks for that, l will give them a bell tomorrow.

I've had a slow puncture in my front tyre for a month. On a monday morning I pump it up to 3 bar. By Friday evening its down to 1.2 bar. Will get round to plugging it soon.

Dont stress dude.

Leave the nail in. Buy a Stopnngo repair kit and a pump. Meanwhile keep riding until you fix it.

Nail in centre of tread is easily repaired.

So, you'd think you'd know to buy a simple plug repair kit and know how to use it, rather than being potentially stranded on the side of the road somewhere in north London, unable to work. How do I do that, biker mate? Easy, mate there are lots of threads on UKGSer as you are not the first bloke with a puncture. Here's a (short) sample:

You'd also assume you'd be at least familiar with the motorcycle shops and / or tyre repair outlets in North London, too. You might also think that as you are now stuck and apparently having to use your wife's bike, you'd might by now have tried Googling 'motorcycle tyre repair north London'. But apparently, no.

As you might now not be able to ride your bike, you might value a mobile repair service, perhaps? If so, try:

http://www.londonmpr.co.uk

Failing that, try:

PS You are limiting your enquiry to the 1200 WC section, most of whom do not live in north London and / or rely on BMW Recovery. Try the South East section: http://www.ukgser.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?26-South-East
