Had the headlight and main beam conversion done on the GSA which has left the Hella's and original sidelight looking very tired and sad.

Anybody have any preference on the H3 bulb replacement which I'm considering for the Hella's?

Current choices available look like the

1. Osram Nightbreaker

2. Phillips Vision Plus

3. ABD xenon

4. Narva Range Power 50

Suggestions for a reliable LED sidelight also appreciated.

Ta.

Osram do very nice LED sidelight bulbs, I thinks there's a choice of colour temp. Similarly, their Nightbreaker H3s are good but may still look yellow next to your Hid. Try something with 'blue' in the description. I know Bosch do a BLB453B which has a blue tinge.

Thanks for your replies Uncle Dick/Pete.

The fitting is a H3 Pete - should have mentioned that in my post.

Next to hid any bulb will look sad. I converted my micro de to use an led interior light from a car as all the led bulbs I found to be piss poor as they shine on the reflector and they just didn't work. The LEDs I have in now give no light output and are purely markers, but I think there are better units out there to use for this.
My personal opinion is sell em on and aquire something that is designed to be an led light rather than converting non led to led. I have tried alsorts to make the micro de work well with led but failed miserably. Maybe the new bulbs which have the led projector in the front would work well?

Alternatively now that you have a more than adequate dip beam remove the additional lights and save a bit of weight. :)

There is thread over on ADVrider about replacing standard tungsten bulbs with purpose built LED units.
Its 46 pages so a good nights reading

 I only want some H3 bulbs

That's a great piece with some great stuff coming from America - don't seem to be doing the bulbs I'm after though but thanks for the link :thumb2

That's a consideration but I like the running lights on when on motorways/long days....sounds too much like the Mrs as well :D:D
