As per title......
My mate mate is selling his set of 3 Bumot Metal Boxes to suit the 1200 LC Adventure......including the mount plate for the rear box (43ltr)

These mount on the the BMW frames and there is a plate for the back box.

Collection only........so that essentially limits it to the Irish & Northern Irish lads
(unless of coarse you're a lunatic)

Frozen Grey Colour........as new condition (pics to follow)

Priced to sell........€550

Maybe it is the - ‘collection only’
Do people normally post a set of 3 Panniers......genuine question?

I'm fairly sure (because I run a wholesale/distribution company here in Ireland 🇮🇪) that it would cost the guts of €100 to get those to the UK.

In Ireland/Northern Ireland..... I would more than likely consider delivering or meeting someone half way.

Brexit absolutely fucked up the selling of goods on here between Ireland and UK.

When I'm buying stuff from ye lads, I have to get it delivered to a PO box company just across the border......and make an approx 200km round trip to get it.

Back to the question.....

Do you think the price is fair??

I think the price itself is fair - but you asked a question.

You also stated - COLLECTION ONLY - your words - which limits the prospective buyers.

When I sold a set of panniers - I delivered - Southampton to Nottingham - as it was cheaper and more secure than posting

Hence my comment as to perhaps why no one is interested

Any interest from the Irish/Norn Irish lads ?

We could sort something out for getting to where they need to go.......on the island of Ireland ( I think getting them across the Irish Sea would be too expensive)

All offers considered.

I'm surprised these are still not sold. Superbly made set of panniers for about 1/3 the price of a new BMW set. GLWS

I sold a full set of Bumot Panniers on here about 3 /4 years ago and posted them from Lancashire to the South Coast.

If I remember correctly I used DPD who collected them from my house and delivered them to the buyer a couple of days later. The cost wasn't excessive at about £30

The biggest hassle was finding 3 boxes big enough to post them

I appreciate that.....

Sending from Ireland to UK now is an absolute ClusterFuck due to the thing that shall not be mentioned (rhymes with exit)

Those 3 boxes to the UK....with DPD (I use DPD for my wholesale/distribution business here in Ireland 🇮🇪).....I would estimate would be at least €100 and that's not factoring in any duty to be payed at the UK side (not to mention all the extra paperwork, declarations etc etc)

It's a non-runner to the UK.

I'll drop the asking for someone who's able to drive to me and collect them......would even meet someone half way....if it was a long drive for them.

Arrgh....Sorry I didn't realise that you live in the 'Republic'

Looks a great price to me .
Bumot is brilliant kit

€475 collected.

Very little wiggle room left on the price lads.

Would cost approx €1500 to order new from Bumot.

Has to be a bargain.......??

IMHE I noticed the market is incredibly narrow, regardless what others are posting about price/value moreso as folk are now tightening their belts and spending less on their hobby. And, I’d guess the Irish market is some way smaller than the British mainland?
I tried to sell BMW OE aluminium boxes and they didn’t shift and I ended up virtually giving them away.
I’d avoid getting hung up on Brexit as a reason for your three boxes not selling. I’d say it’s got SFA to do with it - blame our dumb chancellor if you want the buck to stop anywhere 👍 but, if you want to get political, blame Barnier for screwing up straightforward easy trading between nations.

GLWS - hang on, you might just get lucky.

Not getting political.....

It's just a cold hard fact.

Sending stuff from one side of the Irish Sea to the other is now way more complex and expensive than it was.

Thanks for the feedback
