After spending a fair amount time deciding which panniers to go for on my F800GS I settled for the Bumot's.

Having had Touratech and Metal Mule in the past, neither of which I was entirely happy with, I decided to go with these.

My only issue was that I didn't want panniers too wide so after contacting Bumot they made me a pair slimmer than the standard ones on offer for the F800. Nearside is a 35 litre and the offside is 31 litre with a 5 litre toolbox.

When Bumot manufactured the panniers they shipped them to the Adventure Bike Shop where Cliff fitted them for me last week. Excellent service.

As you can imagine, I can't give an in depth review on them yet as I've not had chance to properly try them out but first impressions are good.

Key points

The lids on the boxes have 'stiff' hinges so hold the lid in any position.

The tool box is a nice touch and as it's fitted to the pannier frames, it stays on the bike even when the panniers are removed.

Powder coating finish is nice and smooth.

All the locks are matched so only need one key is needed.

The price - Almost half the price of the leading brands.

They look really nice, a review in a couple of thousand miles will be great. I like the symetric way the panniers look from the rear.
