I've actually done this several years ago but can't recall how

Done a search on here but can't find what I'm after...

I've copied a cracking film from my PC onto a DVD disc - works fine on the computer but I now want to watch it on my DVD player.

How do I do this?

Presumably the movie in your PC is an MP4 file.
You need software that will convert MP4 to DVD.
Do a search for at. There's tons out there.
I use 'DVDFAB', an excellent bit of software.
There is free software out there but it'll take a bit of faffing.

Which version of DVDFAB am I looking for?
Just want something that can simply burn onto a disc from the PC and then be able to play the disc in any dvd player

The simplest way is to use Daemon tools lite (or similar) to copy an image (.ISO) file of the complete DVD to your hard drive.......you can watch it by 'mounting' the file as a virtual DVD drive using Daemon tools, but when you dble click on the .iso file, any dvd writing software will burn it to DVD as a genuine DVD which will play on a DVD player :)

Daemon tools is a fantastic bit of software, and an essential if you 'acquire' a lot of films via TorrentDay or similar sources

EDIT....I dodn't read the post properly, sorry :blast

To convert a video file back to a DVD for use in a standalone DVD player, I use ROXIO media suite, but any similar software will do

I, ahem, may well have acquired my film from such a source
