De Crowe kindly let me sample two GS's from his fleet today. I had never ridden either model, one an 1150 GSA twin spark and the other a new LC.

I was blown away by both bikes. Con described riding the GSA as like riding an old friend, how right he is! It feels really well put together for a 10 year old bike. It felt really planted and secure on the twisties. I have a ZZR1400 and I was thinking as I rode the GSA how good it felt to master a bike rather than the bike master the rider, if that makes sense.

We went to Doolin along the coast road from Galway by Black Head. It was a super day for the bike. I got off the GSA buzzing. A super bike.
I got to ride the LC on the way home. What an engine!! I found my speeds to be significantly faster than the GSA. I played with the ESA and found 'Normal' to be the best solution for the Clare roads. The adjustable screen is a welcome feature. There certainly is a load of stuff going on in the cockpit of the LC.
I owned an 05 R1200 GS and never really got on with it. I rode another R1200GS across America I also rode a GSA12 home from Malaga and again wasn't all that keen on them. But today I rode 2 GS's and loved them both but the big surprise, to me, was the GSA put the bigger smile on my face.

Thanks Con!
