I bought this a while back and have never used it on my GS. Mines a 1250, but this will work on a 1200 as they are the same frames. So I am told.

I have another one which I have always used on my S1000XR. They are brilliant, raises the bike off the ground and you can work on it or just wheel it to where you want it in the garage. Great if space is tight. Or turn bike around to exit garage. They basically lock into the frame at certain places.
The base unit, legs and wheel are standard and you have a different attachment plate on the arm/lever head, as shown in photo.
I will be selling my S1000XR soon so that stand will be available at some point, I think I also have another GS attachment plate, so it could be used for a GS or XR.
