Just got loaned the 650 scarver whilst my gsa was in for service ,did about a 65 mile round trip ..god these things are cramped on the legs ,and talking of vibey
my right foot went NUMB !!:koi

I had a Scarver last week and I thought it was just dandy in town but got blown to hell on the motorway.

The helmet bay thing on the "tank" was just right for carrying the lambretta engine casing I had to pick up, and looked like it would also house a small child.

It is very girly though, a bit like a Peugeot 206 CC.

Scarver

I've not made my mind up about the Scarver !It's the front end and the plastic things on the tank that you can see through, like the idea of the belt drive though! It sounds as though it should be smooth in traffic . Think I'll have to ask for one instead of the R1150RT for the two hundred mile round trip on the mainly motor way home, in the winter when it's dark and I need to carry some shopping when getting the GS seviced!:D Oh so much better than the bus though:rolleyes:

I would always refuse the CS loan bike that Balderstons offered at service time, opting for any boxer instead, but Robin convinced me to try it one time and I thought it was a real hoot to ride. I live about 30 miles from their premises and I giggled like a schoolboy the whole way.

:upyou to the bus !

I had a Scarver as a loan bike on Tuesday, at 6'2 & 17 Stone, I was a little big for it and felt like something out of Camberwick Green on the dual cairrageway. The cover for the false tank was missing so I had this nice bowl of rainwater between my knees, which I suppose is ideal if you want a wet shave whilst sitting in traffic!!
