Buying a 1150 gs what do I look for

Hi Folks
I am going to look at an R1150GS with the intention of buying it. Cant find what I am searching for on the forum so:- What are the things to look out for on this model. Can anyone give me a point by point list of known problem areas to look at and how to check them?
I have been told that sometimes there are things amiss with the shaft bearing, is that true and if so what else should I be aware of?

you should look for tons of polish so it's spotless
bottom fork legs for corrosion and pitting
front engine cover for corrosion
service history whose done it
accessories touratech/ wunderlich
nice clean oil in the sight glass left hand side of engine
oil leaks
miles are important but not what it's done it but how it was done
how many owners
HPI before you buy it

don't be put off

by high mileages. As long you have a wad of receipts or a service history to back it up they go on for ages and are only getting run in by 40000 miles!

If your budget will allow there is a superb looking GSA1150SE for sale by 'Trippy' at the moment, probably yours for around 5750 (he is asking 5950)
