I rang Garmin a couple of days ago.

This afternoon the new battery arrived….


Shhhh don’t tell anyone but it was free of charge!

was probably still under guarantee

After just reading your above post i rang them regarding getting a new battery for my zumo 595, first bloke didn’t know what he was doing and told me the serial number I quoted was wrong and eventually cut the call. I rang back and got a young girl who sounded about 11 she took the serial number and came back with a price of £42 er no thanks Garmin.

I replaced my Nav V battery about 5 years ago using the same info contained in this page. It cost about £13.
At the back end of last year I noticed that the battery was no longer holding charge, but as I was going away for a few weeks I noted down the details in this thread for future use.
I got home this morning and the first thing I did was ring Garmin to enquire about a replacement battery. Spoke to a very nice chap who emailed me an order to complete, new battery on the way for free!
Now that is what I call service!
(And no, it is not a warranty replacement.)

Just ordered one from Garmin for £13.09, cheaper than the chinese copy on Amazon. Great service from Garmin, ordered today and coming Thursday.

Rang up this afternoon, spoke to a really nice bloke who checked his system, confirmed they had them in stock and they were £13.09 each, then fully discounted it so I'm getting one FOC
