I'm sorry, you've got to go. I've fallen for a newer model...:love

Errrr mmmm not a newer model darlin' :blast

But a different breed

I'm sure you'll be happy together, and I look forward to riding with you on your new 'bike :thumby:

:beerjug: :kissy2

Africa Twin.

You're right - the 800 has been great, I just wanted to try something different. I can always come back to BMW if it's all a terrible mistake :D

I think you'll be very pleased

Bit more ooomph

Bit better suspension

Nice ergo's

I tried one and really liked it, only had a short ride though

Must try one for longer in Spring

One thing I did notice that it was far smoother and had far better stock suspension than the F800GSA that I tried from AJ's

Enjoy, probably the only bike that I would sell one of my GSA's for

Absolutely nothing in the current BMW range, does anything for me

That's pretty much what I thought - it just seems to do everything a little bit better than the 800. You can feel the extra weight, but I'm sure I'll get used to that :)

Some people have got no patience!:D

Great bikes !!!! Enjoy ! Didn't go for the DCT then ?

Assuming the tyres are Dunlops,I can recommend changing them to Conti Trail Attack2s asap as the OE tyres are really shite in the wet !!

How does it compare size wise with your F800GS, i had considered the AT but they hadn't been out long when I was deciding and so went for the GSA. Im happy with the GSA, but if I ever went back to an RT id need an F800GS or maybe an AT

I'd arranged with the dealer that he would swap the Dunlops for Conti TA 2s before it was delivered. Unfortunately this has been overlooked so we're now trying to work out the best way of sorting it out. He's got a few days to do it, as the bike isn't registered until Jan 1st, so I can't ride it yet :comfort

Not really interested in DCT, I know it's supposed to be really good, but not my thing.

Bigger than the standard 800GS - it's next to hubbies 800 GS Adventure in the garage and they're pretty much the same size and 'bulk'. Seat's lower on the AT though. I can't get on an 800 GSA, but the AT is no problem with the seat in the low position.

Lovely bike.
I was very interested in getting one, but decided on a 1200GS TB instead because my local Honda dealer did not have a demo bike.

Definitely worth a go for next time then!

So Fran you did it then, what you going to do with all spare time, now head race bearings last longer than 4,000 miles Lol
Martin

I am a bit worried about that - I went through 4 sets in the last two years on the 800
