
It a big step to retiring from biking, your decision must have been difficult. Enjoy whatever you intend to do to replace your riding.
I am a bit like you but have only been riding 50 years. I hope to have a few more years left. Its a decision I am not looking forward to.
Its people like you that keep motorcycling alive when it was unfashionable and the bikes on sale were pretty naff in hind sight.

55 years biking here, and each year the bike gets heavier. I think perhaps I should get something lighter, easier to park. But every time I ride the the GS it is so damn good, does so much so well. So it stays and I keep riding all year. But I know sooner or later I will have to make that decision, or have it made for me, and I dread it!


It's not a problem .... I couldn't manage the 1150 and 1200's any more, so got an 800GS. Now at 133,000 miles it's still as good as the day it left the factory, and does everything as well as any 1150 or 1200 does
