Hello all,
I just picked up my new GS on Friday and one of the first things I slung on her was the Mudsling thingy. Well, as most of you know, you secure the device to the frame using cable ties. Not liking the thought of raw cable tie snuggled up to my shiny new frame, I decided to use my vinyl cutter to cut some vinyl guards to act as a barrier to said cable tie. Just peel from the backing paper, line her up and lay her down :beerjug: The pic below shows the basic design. Worked like a charm :thumby:

So, if any of you lot want some cutting to your size, please PM me with amount required. My price is 15p per strip. + 80p P&P in the UK- Paypal personal payment wins every time.

Well, I've got to pay for the fooker some how! :D

Cheers,
Vinyl Bob

WHAT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What about where the Mudsling rubs the frame paint and traps dirt? Helicopter tape pads (or purpose made) sticky back plastic pads will protect the frame from rubbing Mudsling and cable ties.

Will it fit an airhead?

Oh sorry an airhead came with paint on the frame, that seems to have lasted 30 years, as you were! :P

The string and brown paper that came with Airheads is not as abrasive...

I recently cut the cable ties and removed my mudsling after three years use, in order to remove the swing arm and replace the driveshaft gaiter.

The rear subframe remains in pristine condition beneath the cable ties/mudsling.

HAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAH!
You guys kill me!

Back to the drawing board.

At 15p each plus 80p p&p I'm finding it hard to imagine making a viable buisness from this product, you've invented a solution to a problem that doesn't really exist so on that note I'm ooooout :D

Keep those old chestnuts coming boys! Funny as fooook!

Anyway. Forget the revolutionary cable tie bolloxs, how about bespoke vinyl stickers for ya pride and joy?
Here is one I plastered on my top-case. A monogram with a wee mountain goat atop.

I'm out!
