Those who are local to Worchestershire, Cotswolds, etc, would be familiar with the original location of their establishment at Ettington (Stratford Road, A422).

They have announced that on 14th of September, this will become their second location.

I have only been twice, to their Ettington site. You often will find cool motorcycle (including hipster stuff) as well some fine cars. Be it modern supercars, classic stuff, including restomod.

It is only an hour away from the North London, so could be an alternative occasional breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner run to a popular place, that is Bike Shed.

You can make a day out of it, and head for the B660, to the north of Bedford. If some of you do not know, this is a very nice 34 miles of road heading for Ramsay St. Marys. It is a well recommended by certain Simon Weir, in his “Bikers Britain” book.

Anyhow, should some of you wish to attend the opening event, (from my understanding) it involves booking a ticket on their website.

But you then have to drive through bedford to get to Ampthill where it is. It’s actually just above the red O in google on that map.

There is a way around the sh*thole, that is Bedford.
Have done it before, on a number of occasions. Graftham water is a nice stop too. Located halfway between Bedford and Ramsey Saint Marys.

this is how I get round when I come home this way. Turning off the 660 just below kimbolton, its a decent run through to milton ernest, not bril after that, but its pretty easy skirting bedford.
I’ve a rental i do an annual gas check on in ramsey st mary. Only do it as the owner pays straightaway, too far really to be worth it.

I went to the Caffeine & Machine on the A272 yesterday with six buddies on bikes. We thought we'd try it instead of Loomies, which is on the opposite junction. Nice designer/hipster venue with friendly, helpful staff. My friends who ate breakfast said it was only just average. I waited until midday to have lunch, which was inevitably for me, a burger and chips. There were a selection of sandwiches, paninis etc. as well, plus a similar kids menu. Slightly above average with no frills. The coffee was nice. Prices were..........................as you would expect. My uninspiring Burger & Chips was £13.95.

There were loads of bikes around yesterday and we couldn't help notice that apart from us, not a single bike came to this venue. They all went to Loomies. We eventually left as we had to move our bikes out of the car park for an arranged petrol-head meet.

I can't say it is somewhere I would go to again to eat but it's fine for a coffee. If you like bike watching, wandering and talking bike bollocks to strangers, Loomies is your place. I can't help but think that Loomies has got nothing to worry about.

Ye. Been there on the bike a few weeks ago after popping to the Bahnstormers to book a service.

Nice and clean, bit meh. Not that I care much. Seems more car-centric and very “british” (queues and parking attendants/marshalls :) )

It’s ok. People there have options now.

Why does the A272 C&M have to pay relentless ist ist ist dance rap music that appeals to 18 yrs olds? Don't they know that the only people who can afford to insure a GSA are over 50yrs old? Switch to ClassicFM and I might come back. Meanwhile, the food at Bahnstormer trumps the lot.

Perhaps they are not just catering for fat fucks on GSAs ?

Exactly
There is the Bahnstormers bbq for that. :D :D :D

BTW, I noticed that the average speed cameras have been extended to the A32 too.

I’ve been once. They’ve clearly spent a shed load on the refurbishment. From the style of the branding, inside and out and the souvenir clothing I’d say the target audience is a young, car club, crowd. The mural on the wall is almost ‘Toys r Us’.

Like all these places folk go to hang out, it attracts a certain clientele and target audience. Give me a quiet country pub that does good food any day.
Most landlords are glad for the business and welcome everybody as customers so long as folk are respectful and don’t go revving up or tearing off on their awesome steeds.

There are plenty to choose from in the Meon Valley just off the A32/272 route yet people flock to a car park en-masse to pay over the odds for average food and drink ?

Got it in one - a quaint cafe or old world charm pub in the Yorkshire Dales/Moors/Pennines for me, every time
Hundreds to choose from and rarely another bike in sight - whereas most of the biker haunts (Squires/Seaways/NY500/A59 cafe) are rammed and the food & coffee is generally dire

I should have said mediocre not average, but the point I’m making is the same.
