Anyone know an interesting route?
:bounce1 Im going Friday morning (forward planning? whats that?) and am meeting SWMBO at Frejours on Sunday evening, just south of Nice (unless she has enough sense to change the locks when Im gone!!):beerjug: :beerjug: :beerjug:

Thanks !!

I have a route I intend to try out later this month, passing not too far from the Millau bridge and ending up north of Barclelona. A good chunk of it may be of interest to you. Unfortunately it is too big to put up here as an attachment (550KB). PM me if you want me to email it to you.

PaulW. I am planning to go from Calais to Millau this June, then to the Pyrenees. Can I have a copy of this route too? May help me with planning mine..
Thanks in advance.
Have PM'd you with my email address. :beerjug:

Paul,

Thanks for sending me your route. I've now used it plus the Michelin map to come up with a route for my trip in June. If you/anyone wants a copy let me know.
Basically Calais - Sedan - Moulins - Millau - Argeles - Andorra - Jaca - Bilbao - Santander.
2100miles, 8days. Can't wait..

Simert...

Yes Please:)

we're doing it the other way round:bounce1 - into to Santander / up to France (Biarritz end) / then East / Andorra / then North - Carcassone (sp!) / Millau / Gorg Du Tarn / ...then sorta meandering up to Brittany.
ANY info Much Appreciated. got no GPS, so if you've anything in another format - it would be useful.

Thanks.:thumb2

Have it as a jpeg. Is that any use? I can PM you close up of any sections if you like. N240/ N260 were recommended to do in many threads, so have included them..

Shame you don't have sat nav, as we went into detail about the roads to go on.. No idea if they are any good, but they were highlighted in green on the map we bought..

We did initially plan to get the ferry down then head back to the UK, but decided against this for two reasons.
Firstly we felt after a long trip the ferry would give us time to recover and rest and secondly we'd be all excited and then only get as far as Plymouth and have to sit bored on a ferry for 20hrs..

Keep in touch and as you pass by my place (and drink some of my wine!) I will print you a route that takes you through the Gorge du Tarn then the Gorge du Ardeche and on to Brittany!

Ogmios,

No problems, have a fantastic time! You'll be pleased to hear we did use a real map to create this route... :D

and to the others UKGSers I have sent the garmin file to, enjoy.

Happy riding.
