I know that the K100 16v, K1, K1100RS/LT four-piston calipers are interchangeable. I think that I need a pair.

Looking at the calipers fitted to the early K1200RS/GT, R850R, R1100R and 1100GS models, the calipers look the same. However, according to the parts fiche all these have different part numbers to the older bikes, yet they all use the same pads and the rebuild kits are the same.

Does anyone know definitely that they are not interchangeable?

doesent the K100 only youse 2 piston brembos so the pads and repair kit cant be the same or fit because they use diferent size pistons the mounting is the same the later 4 pots need skiming 1,8mm off to fit central with the disc thats how it works anway with r100 models and they use as standard the same brembos as the K100 if you need a set let me now :ronno

I had a set of pads which were left over when I sold my K1100RS and bought my R1100GS back in 1996 and I am fairly certain that the RS pads didn't fit the GS. But according to the Ferodo catalogue FDB2050 are the correct front pads for the K1100RS and the R1100GS.

The K1100RS & LT use the same calipers as the K100 16v (K1 and K100RS). The R100R and R80R use the same.

No. I have a K1100 with seized calipers so want to replace them. A caliper service kit (new pistons and seals) is about £55 per caliper.

Thanks anyway, yours are outside my budget.
