Not even got the bike yet (Wednesday) but something is confusing....

I see on here brakes with "brembo" on them and "BMW" so why the difference, tried the search and think that the 1150 gs is brembo and R1200 GS is BMW AFAIK.

Are they the same? or is it that BMW decided to make their own or renamed the brembo's?

If you look on the back of the 'BMW' calipers, you'll see the Brembo symbol, so it's likely that a deal was struck with Brembo to make BMW badged calipers, or something like that.

theres 2 makes on the 1150

i think the earlier 1150 caliper was marked Brembo and was later changed to BMW when servos were fitted, but i might be wrong.

IIRC the pads are only interchangeable one way too. both calipers made by Brembo anyway.
