The Angus Hotel in the centre of Blairgowrie often do deals but AFAIK, they don't have secure parking so I doubt if that will be any good to you. The Bridge of Cally Hotel is a few miles north of Blair on the A93 Braemar road which is the route you'll no doubt be on. It's a popular SS haunt and a really good place.

If you'd rather stop in Blair, I know Ian who runs this BnB. It's really popular and busy.

The GOTC event was held in Ullapool this year. Lots of us stopped off at the Ceilidh Place Hotel and it got good press.

for Ullapool you could check last years Clans thread, loads of good places. Callander is a really tacky touristy place, but just a few miles north is Killin with some great pubs, b+b's and hotels. Blairs grrrrreat, hopefully John's watchin:thumb2

The Arch Inn, Ullapool always gets my vote, but sometimes you can get cheaper at the Royal Hotel :thumb2

Stay clear of the bar in the Royal Hotel, though - it is really dire.

+1 for the Arch Inn and if you venture further North, the Ben Loyal hotel in Tongue is ok and the Alexandra Hotel in Ft William is a good stop on the way back. :thumb

just come on up here and wing it i never book i chust go, an see how it works oot unlikely you would be disapointed unless you have a very large party :) mind u in high summer i usually pack me camping gear fur backup:beerjug:

Ullapool it's the Riverside Hotel for me, off road parking 5 min walk to town.

Blairgowrie I stay at The Glenshieling guest house, 10 min walk to town but very quiet and again off road parking.

Hope this helps

If your up Tongue way, try the Craggan Hotel at Talmine. Hamish is a top bloke and the food is good, no tourist coaches, either.

I'm pished, and it's taken me 15 minites to type and correct this so you'd better use the info ffs...............................

The Arch at Ullapool is in a good spot and reasonable rates. Stayed there a couple of times.
