Just to keep up to date with my issue of the leak.
BMW could not find an obvious leak , in fact none on either calliper or pistons , but could see the oil on the rim balanced against my insistence on the danger of death side .
Being BMW they decided to change both callipers for new ones ( new part numbers ) , gave my bike a heath check as well.
Good result .. The wonder of a good warrantee and manufacture support. Thanks BMW and that's why I stay with them.

Exactly right, and great outcome for you. My local dealer is fantastic always get a coffee and more importantly they always are pleasant and willing to sort any problems or queries, yes i know i pay for it but you do with any new or used bike - its called depreciation! The local triumph and kawasaki/ducati dealerships never even got off their backside when i went in a few years ago let alone said hello, so they will never get any of my money! Honda/suzuki are great too, never tried ktm dealership as never felt the need to.... I'm not bothered which brand i have (they all go faster than i am capable of pushing them) but I believe they will all break down no matter what make but its the way its sorted that makes the difference.

Good result as you would expect.

Was it Andy that sorted you out?

I live about half way between 2 Triumph dealers, one is painful, you have to poke the sales guys with a pointy stick, the other is great and they bend over backwards to help make you feel at home.
