Can't seem to find it on their website, but does anyone know whether Calmac still do a crossing from Oban to Tobermory ?

Oban -> Craignure, Lochaline -> Fishnish and Kilchoan -> Tobermory are the three I've used in the past 33 years I've been going to Mull. Was there ever an Oban -> Tobermory service?

No service to Tobermory from Oban any more. The only ferry to mull goes from Oban to mull goes to craignuir but you can take a small ferry from kilchoan on ardnamurchan- and ejoy a brilliant road on the way t
here.

Edit. Sorry for shy te typing iPhone and strong drink partly to blame.

thanks

was up in mull about three years back and was sure that I went from oban. ah well, that's the drink for you. heading up there on 7th August if the weather's ok.

sorry

misread, oban to craignuir, now it's coming back to me ! hopefully the mish nish is still there.

Yeah But Was painted Black last time I was there in Sept 08!

The Yellow was much more fetching and The Red one beside it was the fastest one :-)

They stopped it in the 90's, the last time I watched from the deck as we tied up at Tobermory was in 94, it was only for foot passengers then....

A Potted history

Aye, hauf cut again the mishnish has gone downhill in wullys beer-ometer over the past few years, apart from the blue floodlit rangers shrine nothing else has changed.

Btw. Greeting to the tosser on the 1200 adventure who's in town, is it you??

Have you got accommodation? If not, I could make a couple of recommendations.

Don't need it thanks, meeting a prospective customer for a demonstration (hopefully no more than a couple of hours) then coming home again.

Do you mean you were in the Mishnish...?

Aye, the mish. It's gone down hill in wullys beer-o-meter over the past few years. The rest of the place is the same except got the blue floodlight on the rangers shrine....
