will try RS paints see if thery can do a spray :)

Engine is only 700 miles old... Bugger... why couldn't I of done this on the old engine :blast

Mind you, they are adventure bikes.. maybe its in-keeping :)

Take the opportunity to get them painted black to match the rest of the engine. ;)

So I have

BMW 963/N10 Granite Gray Matte
955 Ali silver (fave book)
WM23 (face book)

But guess malcopopolo will be correct ;)

I'll get some Monday... If not I'll try the ford graphite grey.... How close is it?

Thanks

After you have fixed it, pop some head guards on to make sure it doesn't happen again.

I've got head guards on (and crash bars in the garage) but it rolled beyong the head gards and was about 20 deg down a ditch. Standing on slippery mud with the wheels higher than the bike, I only just managed to lift it!!..

If those scratches are the only damage, you got away lightly. Put those crash bars on,they probably would have saved you from this damage. They also make good grab handles for dragging a bike out of the undergrowth, a security cable put through them allows two of the four people needed to lift a GS a good purchase. This I know from experience.

Good call. I damage the plastic plug cover, the LHS guard (now mended), the cam cover and a very small chip on the rear carrier.
Yes, crash bars will be fitted. However, I was on a road / track over the moors with gates on. I'd just stopped to open the last of 5 gates but was on more of a down hill slope than I thought. It just rolled off of the side stand and fell over into the ditch!

Stupid thing to do i know as I could of put the hand brake on, engine off and left it in gear etc.. but was rushing to get home!
It's amazing how alone you feel as no one uses that road, and it was starting to get dark.

So I had to get the bike back up and with the wheels higher than the rest of it, and my feet further down the ditch and on mud, it was going to need everything I could muster to lift it... another 5KG (GSA) and I'd not of managed it and we'd still be there :D but somehow being mindfull NOT to push it right over the other way, got the thing back up!

I'll not be doing that again any time soon especialy when I'm by myself.
Lucky also it didn't go further and roll fully upside down... that would of been a mess :)

This one also goes on the alloys. :okay

I've ordered some paint and lacquer from RS paints. A tad expensive, but if I'm doing it, I may as well do it right... and have some left for next time :D

Fixed... paint from RS paints if you need some :)
