Although a couple of hundred miles from Merseyside, knowing that Henry was around I decided to have the van guarded.

Excellent pictures Tim!! Got any more for us? I think they capture the event for those of us who don't appreciate how difficult it must be. 10/10 for your efforts!

A question of character

Tim,
What fantastic photographs. I'm gutted i couldn't take part. Did come up to FIBUA though, but didn't manage to find anyone. All i got was a shitty old stereo from a knackered Transit. A tenner if anyone is interested.

Stopped to help pick No 178 (1150GS) on the second untimed special, having read the threads yesterday regarding picking up downed GS's I can assure you he wasn't going anywhere without help.

The guy looked absolutely bollocksed.

But " Big Respect" he was there and competing.

I understand from Tim that he had very little off-road experience, Does insanity come with the key fob or something.

Respect

I'd like to say well done to all you Cambrianists and especially to all that competed on their GS'. Sit back and revell in your fantastic achievement. I hope Gary Jones has captured your valient efforts as superbly as he did mine last year- Gary is the event photographer and i have no connection other than being a happy man when i saw the picture he took of my conquering of thewater obsticle.
Please disregard my earlier post advertising a cheap radio cassette as it looks as if i'm about to realise my dream of my very own Tranny van.
