Cambrian Rally 2007 who's entered? Advice wanted

Question related to those with a GS.
Will we need to refuel on route, at the fuel stop location. It looks like not given the mileage and depending on how far the start is from a station. I just need to know whether to bring a couple of cans to leave there or not.

You have to bring you own fuel. With a GS, you can probably do the first day on a tank full, and then just ride to get some more in the evening. Or bring a jerry can. If you run low, there'll probably be someone you could scrounge some from :)

:D

If anyone's desperate, I usually have a 4 gallon jerry can with me.

My entry is back. I'm in group 7. :nenau, riding a 250cc :nenau in the Sports group. :nenau

A phone call to the blind person handling the forms might be in order  :D

As Ive some brand new tyres in garage I'm toying with the idea of putting them on. TKC rear has done about 2k (look like an uphill paperround 2k as well!) and front about 4k ish, Id say just over half worn for front. The knobs are not too rounded off on the front. Hmmm...cant decide, what would you guys do?

Put the new ones on.
There's a lot of effort to get there, pay the entry etc etc. and if you're on a big GS you'll need all the help you can get if it's wet:thumb

I'm using a brand new set of Michelin Deserts on the 650 Rallye bike as that's also a handful to ride compared to the smaller bikes.

Just recieved confirmation of my entry!!

Just need to decide if i'm camping or finding a B+B.....

Organisers email address

Has anyone got Mandy Bartletts current email address at all please ?
I need to see if there are still entries available. (Even tho I did have a big "off" yesterday at the Hafren and became trapped under my bike . . . . .by my head. Thank god for chin straps and body armour !)

Mandy's email is [email protected] and there are places still available.

I'll post a bit of info on the course tomorrow and a bit more next week after I've been around the course putting the arrows up next weekend.

I do know that it's almost certainly 2 x 48 mile laps on the Saturday and 3 x 39 mile laps on the Sunday with two special stages per lap but none will be timed on the first lap of each day so you can have a look at them before trying to go fast - this means you'll get a total of 6 timed stages, about 35 miles of off-roading timed to the 1/100 second :D

The first stage is completely new and will start at the same place each day. It goes the same way for the first couple of miles each day but it then splits and goes in completely different directions - about 4.75 miles each day.

The second stage will start and finish at the same points each day and again is the same for the first couple of miles before splitting (Day 2 is the same as last year) - about 7 miles each day.

How difficult is it compared to the Red Kite rally Bob? I managed to finish that - just. :o
