Camille's big rebuild

progress report for today

well i've been a busy boy since 9am this morning. i spent last night stripping and cleaning the carbs (sorry rob, just running outa time for the weekend) so today i fitted them along with the coils and some of the electrical gubbins. then it was onto mounting the aux. tank and rear ohlins, footpegs ad getting the rear light mounted on the mudguard oh and i swapped the forks over just fer Proff. so i'm done for today. feel quite chuffed as i got loads of stuff done and i'm ahead by one day on my project chart:D tomorrow its off for more fabrication with the headlight bracket and a few tweeks of the centre stand. hopefully the subframe will be back tomorrow as well although its cost me a meal to get it re powder coated:blast
anyway heres a few more pics, get yer hankies ready:drool:drool:drool

one of your curtains is longer than the other one

Good Job Keep going boy

the end is nigh

well apart from a couple of f**kups i've made. Yesterday i thought the ohlins had been fitted with the wrong yes so i drilled out the frame to suit only today to find a little packet of packers that reduce everything to the right size:blast so off to my mates this morning to have him machine up some tophats to bring everything back to size:blast:blast. anyway i got my subframe back today after being plastic coated for the 4th time and got the antar stickers in the right size for the rear mudguard:D also been over to my blacksmith buddy to make the rear break arm and tomorrow i'll go visit chris to weld all the bits together:clap
with the rest of the day i've assembled the discs and front wheel and fitted the mudguard and tonight i'll fit the new seals to the calipers:thumb2
so it's nearly there and nearly going to plan. here's a few more pics, just let me know when yer getting bored:D

Bored ??? im spanking my monkey so hard ive blisters everywhere:eek

that is and will continue to be one humdinger of a bike:beerjug:

Today

I should get the headlight mount altered and the centrestand. Bit more welding and bodging should have it. Hopefully my mate has machined up some bits n bobs so I can get the ohlins fitted correctly and my Fairing bolts have arrived so I can get those in place. She'll be just about done then and all I've got to wait for is the clock mount. :clap

Sy, I'd also put the rear brake rod on the right way up as well :augie
Should have an erection, not drooping down below swing arm :D

EDIT !!!!
Correction, I see you have done so in the last pic......

You knew I'd spot it didn't you :rob

nearly done.

got most of the jobs i wanted to do done. just a botch on the centre stand to do and put the brakes on butother than that she's done. :D i'm knackered now. anyway its been fun as well as frustrating but at the end of the day well worth all the sleepless nights and endlass daydreaming and problem solving. Hope you like......
