Camille's big rebuild

I love it, really... looks stunning :thumb

So are you going to keep the twin discs then? I thought the 84 bike only had single, though I could well be wrong?

If anyone has a pic of camille as she was in the marlboro scheme could you post a pic as I've lost mine and I'd like to see a before and after pic. Ya guys.

Only have a single disk but I looked at removing it and in the end decided to keep the extra one because the risk of damaging the forks and having crap brakes outweighed the aesthetic. So yep it's not original but it's one little consetion I'm happy to live with.

Thanks

Please post some pics of it jumping over dunes etc:bounce1

Not many sand dunes here in shropshire:D I've still got a few jobs to do and I'm still trying to get the centre stand to fit:blast but I have sussed the reason why the back wheel looks so out of alignment, it's cos the subframes all twisted:blast couldn't really tell until everything was bolted on but I think a bit of cutting and shutting will get it back straight but that can wait until after the weekend:thumb

camille see's the light.

wheeled her outside into the sunlight while i cleaned up the shed. man she looks good in sunlight:D

Si, Ive just noticed on the pics of the "old" camille, the brake lever looks a lot like the one you have been trying to make, Is this in another of those boxes that have "lost" bits . Could save you hours of fun.:D

Checked those first. The new brake I've made is the same as the original 84 one, the one I've lost was a piece of poo so not to worried. New one much better cos it's a turnertech:D

noooooooo

oh bollox ive got arm pump now:blast:D:D:D:D:D

superb job dude:beerjug:

thats just wrong:eek

today i'll be fitting the clock mount and trying to remake the centre stand:blast hopefully this time it'll fit. may try to do the sidestand as well. should also get the new stiffer springs for the ohlins as the ones fitted were, well a bit on the light side:rolleyes:

All ready

Camille now has her clocks, sidestand and brakes in place. Centre stand still doesn't work but we'll look at that later. If at the weekend we can sort the wiring, get the engine running and set up I'll be a happy bunny. Still need te straighten the rear subframe( got bent when she fell over:blast) and I need to change the shock springs over but that shouldn't be too hard. So we're ready to rock.

For all that couldn't

Make the weekend, thanks to mr farmer camille now runs:bounce1 18 months since the last time and she sound bloody awesome
Thanks to all who helped but espesh rob, you are a true airhead hero:beerjug:

Great job.

Look forward to seeing Camille and everybody again and the near future.:beerjug::beerjug:

Hi Syco,

Just wondered if you might fancy posting some of the original footage that you have found of Camille into the thread.. I'm sure that plenty would be more than keen to see her in action :beerjug:

Hope all goes/went well with swapping the springs over, surely she can't be far from rideable now? :D
