Hi there,

Just wondered if anyone has had any experience using a Camos BTS300 bluetooth headset ? How does it rate to other bluetooth headsets ?

Anyone know where you can get one in uk/delivered to uk ?

Many thanks - Tony

Capt Slow,
I’ve been trying to get a BTS 200 head set for a couple of weeks now. There are no UK dealers for IMC Motorcom products. I have contacted IMC directly to see if I could get a set from a European dealer. Each time IMC have replied they have sent me a link to a web site that does not list the BTS head sets!!
The marketing of the BTS sets in Europe is shockingly bad.
I did contact a US dealer but he informed me that the battery charger for the set would not work to the UK voltage.
I’ve practically given up with IMC now – even though the BTS 200 ticks all the boxes for me.

The Camos is completely outdone by the MotoSonic 700BH. This is a UK product so quite cheap compared to the Camos and it's spec is better in every respect - battery life, sound quality and all. I have one fitted to my System 5 and it's the best sound comms I've had on a bike.

Cost just over £100 from a dealer on ebay. It includes two mic's so can be fitted to any style helmet.

I'm having the sam,e problem with IMC, except they haven't replied to any of my e-mails requesting info re UK sales.

I want it to link to my Zumo for directions/music, maybe to an i-pod(with BT adaptor) when not using the zumo. aprt time comms to my wife on her bike, and Ilike the fact that you can add a PMR as well.

AC1200 - Does the Motosonic support A2DP protocol????

That’s the same question I was about to ask!
I cant find anything that’s says the 700BH is A2DP but it does say it is stereo. I think as its version 2 Bluetooth it is A2DP. But don’t quote me.
At least I can buy a 700BH no problem which is more than I can say for a Camos.
AC1200 – thanks for the advice. I’ve ordered one.

cheers, let us all know how it goes.

And it is not just IMC-Camos, I have also e-mailed Midland re their BT2 module, and am still awaiting a reply.

They must have too much business going on whilst most of the world is in recession!!!!!

The Scala Rider Q2 is also stereo?? but does not support A2DP protocol.

I knew the Scala Rider was mono over the Bluetooth which is why I avoided it. I’ve just checked and the Q2 is Bluetooth version 2 also!! As the MotoSonic does not say it support A2DP then I’ll bet its mono over the Bluetooth also.
Oh well – fools rush in as they say.

Yes - stereo A2DP. Bluetooth version 2 (hence long battery life). Music + conversation is 8 hours on a charge, 13 hours if just music or conversation which is longer than the BTS. Range to be more than 30 feet from the bike source. I go into petrol stations to pay with music still coming through fine.

If anyone wants the manual email me: "ac-temp" --attttt---- "igaro" -----dot---- "com"

Hi AC1200,

does the volume auto adjust on the motosonic when speed/wind noise increases???

I tried to send you ane e-mail to request the manual, but it got sent back, but I found then manual on-line.

Cheers.

My fault should have been "ac-tem"

No it doesn't auto-adjust. It does have two large buttons on the side for volume control though. :blast ;)

I love mine, best bit of biking comms kit I've bought (and I've "done" autocom).
