Is there anywhere to camp within staggering distance of the Stein Inn?

Me and a few pals are planning a trip up to Skye in June and were looking for likely places to pitch up. Not bothered about facilities just some where to pitch about 6 tents.

Yes ... As you come into Waternish .. you will have some houses on the right .. look out for a windscreen fitter's van. Camping in the grass area near there. :D

Tired of living, Tom? :augie

I know that Johnny gets "special permission" to use the field near the Stein for his Skye Party weekends. Your main problem will be that there are no toilets in the field. HRH has to install portaloos for his event. It may well be that the owner of the field wold be reluctant to have campers on his land with no shithouse facilities...

There are bound to be proper campsites near Dunvegan. Have you checked with google?

Camping shouldn't be a prob - if u give me a pm to let me know the dates I can double check with the landowners.
There are shower facilities at the Stein Inn too.

Hope there are no nationalist bigots in the area ;) :augie

Tah very much for this, :thumb2 I'll get an idea of exact numbers and get back to you. In the mean time do nowt cos its incredibly likely that my useless mates will procrastinate so much over dates we end up going no where and I don't wnat to waste your time.

Cheers
Phil

Campsites in Edinbane and Dunvegan around 12 miles from Stein

I only get special dispensation for the Skye Pairty and don't want to take the p1ss.

Nieghbour keeps Highland coo's in there so it's not the best place tae camp:D

Glendale is a great place to go:thumb
