Considered the New Forest ??
Close enough to cities like Southampton, Portsmouth, Winchester, Salisbury, Poole and Bournemouth.
Remote enough to be tranquil.
Touristy bits.
Some campsite have facilities, some don't.
Some good rides in Hampshire, views of the Solent/Isle of Wight etc.
