As some of you may have been aware. I have setup my own business selling camping, climbing and motorcycle travel gear. I started on the website back in April and it’s taken an age to get nearly finished. But now we are able to open the online shop at last and start to offer you guys some decent choice in gear.

At the moment I can only ship items to the UK that are ordered from the site. This WILL be changing shortly once I get a few tax handling issues resolved. If you guys on the continent do wish to order, drop me a line on the office number (+44 (0) 1244 549688 or email me ([email protected]).

The business aims to be very competitive on prices. We cannot promise to always be the cheapest, but we certainly aim to give it a try. At the end of the day this is my lively hood and I want you guys to keep coming back for more. So please have a browse around the site. The ranges shown are just a start and we will be expanding them as we go.

If you hit any problems with the site, please let me know..

Cheers

John

In April 2007, I chose to chase a dream and make my ideas a reality.
Up and running in 6 months? Well done that man! :bow

Good looking website, seems to work well; now in my bookmarks. :thumb2

One observation - you've mentioned that you're a sole trader several times on the website. Is that really necessary? I operate my business as a sole trader, but I don't think my clients need to know that. ;)

At the risk of being unpopular here...

Rocks' website is certainly better than theirs, but am I the only one who found the stock eerily like the TravelDri-Plus stand?

I don't want to dampen anyone's matches and I'm all for small enterprise (genuinely - I wish you well) but I think Les and Jane have given a lot to the GS community over a number of years. I'm sorry Rocks but my money will continue to be spent with them.

I thought that as well, especially the product list, but it's a big market out there - certainly big enough for two specialist suppliers.

Best of luck with your new venture, hopefully I'll be a customer of yours :thumb2

Starting out..

Rushy, DavidHale, Rollinsdan, thank you for the kind words, support and comments, certainly noted.

schiannini - Yes we do stock similar ranges, I certainly won’t deny that. We do after all have some of the same suppliers. I am also sure though, that there will be ranges we will be stocking that Traveldri don’t and vise versa. I hope people will buy from whom ever they feel gives them the best value for money and service and yes of course we naturally hope it will be with us, but I can certainly respect customer loyalty. We hope at least, that we are providing people with another choice.
