i am looking for a campsite in normandy for a few friends & myself to use in april needs to be near a village for bars :beerjug: & resterants & not far from dday sites :ronno

Municipal site in Falaise.
Lovely little site under the walls of William the conkers castle.
Very cheap.
Daily bread van.
5 minute walk into the town centre.
Ideal for Normany beaches and exploring further south a tad and the Falaise Gap

Municipal camp site in Arromanche. Few minutes walk from the town cafes, bars etc and of course the beach with the remains of Mulberry harbour

Blimey, give folks a chance. When are you off, April is it?

Piaf lives in Carentan, not a million miles away. You could try his (her?) garden, perhaps?

Why not have a look for something that might suit YOU - and all your mates (they could have a go too) - near a bar and a village and all the sites.

From a ten second surf in Google of 'camping ww2 normandy' I turned up this, which may help. If not, there are lots more. http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/chatter...s.asp?ForumID=7&TopicID=171881&PagePosition=1 There, not difficult and I don't even want to go!

Another :thumb2 for the municipal site at Arromanche. Stopped there last year, cheap, clean, quiet site, good showers, easy walk into town and the beach.

Fancy a drink in Normandy in April

If you fancy the campsite in Arronmanches I am at Adrians over the Easter weekend, arriving Thursday 21st and leave Monday 25th. I have a group of 6 with me,
