Campsite in Wales Nr a place to use a pitbike?

Try asking Fforest Fields camp site near Builth Wells. Been there a few times and I'm sure I saw a young lad on a pit bike last year. Really nice people and loads of space for folk to do their own thing. :thumb2

Sent them an email thanks,

There is a B&B that advertises in TDM in mid wales with an enduro track. Might be worth a try but don't think they do camping.

Close to beach would be best to keep the rest of the family happy.

The other thing you can do is contact Steve Ireland, a local lad to me, know by most for the Wirral Off Road events, including the WOR REDays and The Tough One.
Steve has access to several sites where he runs the various series of events in his calender, I'm sure you could latch on and do your thing at the meetings away from the main event.

Hi Squid,

The trials Club that use Bracken Rocks is Mansfield Main MCC. The contact there is Karen Crabtree, its her Dad Terry Crabtree who would remember me from the ACU. This is an ACU club and they will take on new riders from 6 years old,.

There is the AMCA who also have a trials section. But I am pretty sure that the kids have to be 9 to be a member with them.

Take a look at both and see which one your lad wants to aim for.

Failing that if he still wants motocross then he is more than welcome to come and watch my club race at mx meetings when they start at the end of Feb.

My club has a new track over the top of Lichfield way, so its quite central for viewing.

Hope this helps

Thanks Morticia,

I've spoken to a few clubs now and have been advised there is a good place to get him started not far from me. These places are all well kept secrets!

Once he is riding I'll get him signed up.

I've also spoken to the campsite above who have kindly agreed to let him have a practice there when we camp. Apprently their son does Enduros.

Thanks to all for the good information.
