"Racer" goretex kangaroo hide gloves from Infinity.
A bit like these but with goretex:

Superbly comfy, lovely supple leather, and totally waterproof - I know after the last 2 weeks commuting! No rubber wipe thing but you can buy one and put it on if you want. Left index finger has raised stitching to enable efficient wiping anyway.
£89 or something like that.

They're a bit cheaper in Infinity's sale.
They were trying to sell me a pair last week.
My Gerbing heated gloves are not thick and heavy, They're also 100% waterproof AND have the little rubber wiper device.
Oh, and they keep my hands very warm in the cold and wet inclement weather.

I'm off into Liverpool tomorrow to have a look at some leather/goretex gloves. These are in an army surplus store.
If they turn out to be just the job, I'll let you know.
They are also selling some full length waterproof socks that might keep my toes dry when the boots aren't.

Hein-gericke master gloves, the cuff velcros + zips over your jacket, an inner cuff goes inside your jacket, goretex, leather palm/thumb, light, warm, totally waterproof (as tested by me every day
). OK, no rubber visor wiper but they certainly dont scrape it. Desribed as between seasons/rain but with heated grips I've been fine up here so far
