Even if i turn the zumo volume up to 100% I can hardly hear it in the car. It not much better on the bike when connected to an autocom, although i wear earplugs which reduces the volume somewhat. Anyone else find this or have i got a duff one?

Also having problems when phoning people. Zumo paired to phone with bluetooth, zumo to autocom using 2 wires for audio (aux3) and microphone (aux1). The person on the other end says they can hardly hear me although it sounds fine at my end. I think other people have found similar problems but not sure if they have a solution, other than a bluetooth dongle on aux1, which I don't think should be necessary. i don't know if this could be connected with the low volume problem? Some amplifier in the zumo not working properly?

Help please!

I've got a Zumo 550.
My phone is bluetoothed to the zumo, the zumo blutoothed to the autocom - with an ipod for music it all works a treat.
With the zumo speech/sound at 80% its very loud in the head speakers - all in all great on the bike:bounce1.

However when stuck on the windscreen in the car, the volume's ok in town, but not loud enough at say 70mph.

Its ok how I use it, but my older Tomtom (car only) was really loud.

Oh.... people on the other end of a phone call - they don't realise I'm on 2 wheels, morelike having a window slightly open.

I agree - the volume and sound quality on the 660 'stand alone' i.e. in the car is lousy. I still can't decide if my units speaker is faulty. On the bike, through the Autocom, it's absolutely fine, but in the car the sound isn't anywhere near as good as my mobile phone. Pretty poor in a £400 unit.

Tweaked the volume of my 550 with:

Don't know if it works with the 660 though

This does work, I've just had a play and the navigation volume is set at a maximum volume of 75%, just used the program John posted and not only can you knock the volume right up but it allows you to change any of the spoken commands i.e. 'recalculating' to 'oh dear lost again' or 'FFS pay attention' etc :augie

Until I get it in the car I won't know how much of a difference, fun playing round with the instructions though, especially when the wife wants to use it :D, almost like I'm there with her :augie
