Hi knowledgeable ones,
Son has an old i-pod classic that was registered on an old pc (which expired):(.
Is there a way of getting the thousands of songs off it into his new i-tunes on new computer?
Driving me mad, as it's an old ipod, the i-tunes software on it is old and we can't update it.
He spent years collecting the library and now he's starting again............surely there must be a way..................HELP PLEASE!
Ta in advance

Yes - no problem.

First of all make sure that itunes is not set to sync on connection on the new PC.

Then you want a ipod tool you can download from tinternet.

Something like THIS.

Then just add to your new itunes library, and then sync with the new ipod.

On a related note I managed to drag an 8gb playlist from itunes straight onto a memory card & then popped that into my nokia.

8gb transfered over to my phone no problem.

Doesn't really answer your problem Gav but it's a handy tip to know.

Select playlist on itunes
Click 'edit' then 'select all'
Drag to wherever.

e.g. 585 tracks dragged over like this
