Just out of interest (I don't know if this makes any difference) have you tried it with the engine running?

Andres

Bike fired up and running.
No difference what’s do ever. Not a smidgen.

I would expect them to say RTFM - but only after you’ve left the building.

I did, there is no mention of it, only ABS related crap.

So been to the dealer, dropped of my 300 mile sas with an issue that being dealt with very promptly. Got a 1050 loan bike for now. Softly sprung so quite comfy.

Brakes are linked been told but not in a conventional way as moth other makes done. And apparently can not be adjusted.

Spoke to the service manager about the brake. They will bleed the system and and adjust rear lever 1 notch up.

Asked to look at heated grips too, as these are set on MAX and my hands are frozen

Let’s see what it’ll be like when I go and pick it up, hopefully tonight.

When I purchased my 1190 I was told that even though the brakes are linked it’s more to do with the cornering abs and you need to be giving the front brake a decent heave to make it kick in which with a normal abs system would have the bike stand up but with the Bosch system it keeps the bike level and maintains the steering geometry preventing that from happening. They also told me to make sure I used the foot brake more frequently than you’d normally expect to do for the first 500 miles to prevent the pads from glazing and fucking up the system.

When I collected my 1290 it was just a case of them saying “you know about the brakes from the 1190” and that was it.

Sounds like you've got a Friday bike, Ev. How long did you say it was sat in that container for? :augie:hide

Just picked up my SAS,

Rear brake lever had been adjusted and what a difference does is make the way I feel what is actually happening with the rear brake.

Failed “Race On Switch” (ignition switch) was replaced under warranty within 24h.

Happy days!

Bike is filthy again though :rolleyes

That’s good. So is the braking similar to the GS now?
