1150GSA Alu topbox be fitted to the 1200GS.......Yes, and it turned out to be quite easy....

Does not affect the fitting of pillion seat or, as shown, the plate. Does not sit any higher than the expanded Vario topbox.

How it was done......

Compltete picture of parts required. The topbox and parts I had but had to buy the rack and mounting parts, these are from the 1200GSA. Cost £220

The top box plate requires a few changes to it as shown in the picture.

So as to not apply to much pressure to the plate you require 4 spacers the height/diameter of the main rack.

This plate is the back plate, taken from a 1150GS Givi system. If you use one of these you need to cut out a piece as shown in picture.

This is the completed unit. You need to fit it all together before fitting to bike.

This is the hole cut in the top plate to access the screw which fits the rack to bike.

Reamining pictures show seat / plate / topbox fitted.
