Can ya tell what it is yet......

A rotavator chassis and tow bar bracket.

Still don't understand:confused: - what does all this heavy steelwork achieved that wasn't achieved before? - is your sat-nav very heavy:rolleyes:
Is it for an 1150GS - or is it in the wrong section?

Cheers.................Grizzly:beerjug:

Mmm, interesting, let us know how it goes - but I think the flat bar/sheet steel centre section is going to flex like a springboard on bumpy roads or at speed? - headlights will only be level occassionally:D

Cheers...................Grizzly

It's seems pretty solid, not much up and down movement, but it does twist a bit more than I was expecting it to do. Think I need to add some plate to the sides of the 'springboard'...make it more of a channel section.
Still, it's better than the temporary set up I've been using the the last 12,000 miles and that didn't fall off :D

It's an 1150 with 1200 lights :blast

Congratulations, a reliable 1200 at last :D

I'm saying nowt incase my swanky new lights fall off on the first ride :D

Can't really see much detail but here's Mk.1 bracket. Bike came with a aftermarket half fairing on it.....intended putting it back to original Rockster spec but none of the headlight/fly screen bits came with the bike....just the oil cooler covers. Then the fairing cracked clean in half one side so I removed it. I managed to source some of the original bits but the price was stupid high....a quick eBay session found the 1200 light, screen and mounting bracket at my kind of price so they got chucked on in a weekend.....that was 12000 miles ago and I wanted the half fairings brackets back so I can chuck it all on eBay.

Acewell speedo arrived today, apart from losing the self cancelling indicators I should be able to keep all the original Rocksters warning lights.
It has a 9000 rpm tacho which is nice, nowt looks worse to me than a 18,000 rpm face where the needle hardly moves of the stop.
A proper snake pit of wires coming out the back as the unit has tons of features I'll never use but many of the simpler units I looked at were a bit cheap looking, this looks a nice bit of kit in the flesh. One nice feature however is the ability to set the odometer to the original mileage as long as it's done within 30km.....once set it can't then be altered.
