I have an 04 1150GSA and am aware of the discussion on replacement seats.

I do get a bit numb but am ok with that- after all I could have bought an RT if I needed more comfort.

However by the time my wife has perched on the pillion for 30 minutes, she's complaining a bit - not surprising as the seat is tapering away at the back. On the GS, it's two separate seats - and the pillion looks a bit bigger.

I haven't had a look underneath the seat yet and that might answer the question but I thought I'd ask it here first. Is the GSA set up to take the two parts of the standard GS seat? Meaning that I could keep a spare set of rider and pillion GS seats for when we go two up and keep the one piece GSA seat when it's just me?

You can, but you need to change the GSA Silver Rack for a GS Silver Rack

The seats are not interchangeable any other way

Try sending ...

... a PM to Chad of this parish, who I believe is looking to go the other way i.e. GS paired seats to GSA single. It could be mutually beneficial :thumb

Or Canuck - who I believe is selling the complete kit (minus seats).

I happen to have a pair of seats for sale... :augie

Mike :D

Much obliged for all this info. And I'm considering trying to do all this and still fit a Zega Pro top case rack into the bargain. I have the case but can't pluck up the courage to pay for a new rack.

You never think about the cost of the rack when you bid for the top box!
