Can you recommend a tyre fitter in West Cumbria?

I've managed to get my F800GS from North London to west Cumbria via Gateshead (a whole story in its self involving snow, lots of snow and kipping on a strangers floor :augie ) but it would appear a mixture of 8000 miles and salt has squared off my rear

There's still about 3-5mm of tread, but I'd rather get a new set put on if I can.

So, I'm roughly halfway between Workington and Cockermouth, I've had a bike towed to a place in Penrith (again a whole story in itself) before, but would ideally find somewhere nearer.

Any help greatfully received :thumb2

Can't rec them not having used them but:
Cockermouth Motor Cycles
Derwent Street
Cockermouth
Cumbria
CA13 0EY

Telephone: 01900 822329
Fax: 01900 822329

I'd guess you used these guys in Penrith:

I tend to get a set of tyres off them most Easter weekends. ;)

Thanks for the replies

I'll make some calls tomorrow and see if anyone has anything in stock to fit, pica is the closest to us here but I'm happy to travel a bit for the right price :thumb

Cheers guys!

he wont have a tyre as he is a small one man outfit, he has a tyre changer though and can get tyres next day.

best bet is Dave milling motorcycles, if he has'nt got one then its next day only :thumb2

Try Camskill tyres in Whitehaven, I use them for car and bike, never marked a wheel yet!

Good to meet you today, Can't say I am enamoured by tubed tyres, but we eventually got it fitted, was impressed by the 30 meters wheelspin as you took off on a cold new rear tyre. :thumb
