Can you still get 2610 serviced by garmin?

Read on some earlier posts that you can get them serviced for £140 :eek:
Had mine for over 2 years now and its been abused a bit, the electrical connections on the back are wearing away and a tiny bit of the screen is starting to come off aswell.:(
Any idea how long it takes them i don't want to be without it too long:D

Just returned my 2720 for repair and was told to expect a 7- to 10-day turnaround as Garmin are in the process of completing the move of their service dept to a new facility.
 
Still not sent mine away yet got a new problem now it's starting zooming in on its own :(
Can't see fek all from 120 feet.
I've done a little search on here and found this Garmin support no. 08082380000 if i call during hours will they be able to arrange for it to be serviced.?Whats the procedure do you just post it up and send it to them or do they arrange pick up ?How long does it take ?I need mine for a trip in a couple of weeks :o

Speak to Phil Gibson in Service Operations on 023 8052 4000 ext 4508, you will need to "register post" the unit with a covering letter explaining the faults and listing the serial number to:
Garmin (Europe) Ltd
Liberty House
Hounsdown Business Park
Southampton
SO40 9RB

If the unit is out of warranty the fixed cost is £132.85 including VAT for a replacement serviced repaired unit with a 1 year warranty. From receipt by Garmin to replacement back to you seems to take 7-10 days.

Sent my gps away last Wednesday phone call today to say i'll have a recon unit with me for the weekend :thumb
