Whilst on my recent 3,000m trip round Austria/Italy/Germany and back via IJmuiden-Newcastle I found this little gem on the '10 GSA.
I found a huge tailback within a tunnel on the way into Swiss customs outside Como. A route I know well to avoid but brain fade had set in and well, that's where we were.
Temperatures outside were 36-38C and we were well stopped so the motor was stopped to avoid wasting fuel, overheating it and barbecuing my legs.
I'd fitted a full set of Les's HID's when I got the bike.
No doubt y'all know that a short time after using the kill switch, the lights will trip off.
What surprised me was that when I allowed the bike to freewheel away downhill with the motor still off, once the bike rolled away all three lamps powered up!
Those guys think of everything!
It never failed to start and hasn't puked out its rear drive. Yet.
No doubt there's some on-pain-of-death warning in the manual about letting it freewheel but hell, we survived!
