I took my Remus Revolution off this morning and went back to the y-piece / standard can set-up - first time in about 2 years. I was getting a bit fed up with the noise to be honest. I'm quite surprised actually, Noise aside - I reckon the bike is much better with this set-up. First off I left the beige CCP (which is the same as steptoes link) in, which I had been using with the Revolution in place - it ran OK but pinked under load - so then I went back to the no CCP set-up. Much better. It's much smoother lower down the rev range - and picks up and pulls a better I think. It's smoothed out a hesitant spot I was getting with the Revo at about 4500rpms. I think I may have lost a touch of the hard charge up toward the limiter I was getting with the Revo - but on balance I reckon this is a much 'nicer' set-up.... Smoother, better lower down and QUIETER!! Anyone else found this?

Backfiring is about the same - it seems louder with the standard can though...

i tried all the combos of cat/ ypeice/ org can and remus

and found they just running the standard cat and no can whatsoever it was pulling best , no flat spots and now lifts the front in first if u crack it open fast!

oh and this is with a yellow ccp came with the bike

oh and with just the cat on , its MUCH quiter than the remus system but slightly louder than the standard setup ..

looks better to

Thats a combination I haven't tried yet! I might give it a go. Do you know what it did to the fueling - rich / lean? I think CoolCarbon did this as well actually....

Yup, sure did...

Just did a week away in Ze Farterland with that set up, ran well with no hic-ups..

The plugs seem the to be the right colour and the fuel consuption two up, including a quick Lap of the Nurburgring with Mrs CC on the back last Monday was 200 miles before the light came on to the Tank.

That was the only time I let it run that low during the week..

I'm sure that's about 55mpg average, apart from Motorway work where the bike had a full load on including my better half when it dropped to the low 40s at 80mph-ish..

Go-wan, get yerself a 'U' Bend, you know it makes sense... :thumb
