My explanation clearly states that the forum is for criticism as much as for praise.
Of course any shoddy work or unsatisfactory service should be brought to people`s attention.
What shouldn`t be here is comments about someone`s physical attributes or abusive/insulting comments.
I would also like these threads in particular to be relevent to the titled subject ( for the benefit of those seeking information) and not go off on the usual irrelevent tangental course.

I do believe it's a myth that BMW is a premium brand and as such can be charged over the odds for, although some try to take the michael with their pricing for additional bits of kit...GPS being an example.

In the light of the childish,shambolic and embarrassing mess that the Southport Superbikes thread deteriorated into,which led to me becoming a Moderator and subsequently deleting the lot due to my requests being ignored,I am introducing a 'clean up' policy.

We have the 'Beakchat and Bollox' for chatroom styled bouncing of comments and replies,and we have the 'Rant' Forum for,well, rant.

Therefore,I`d like to try and keep the 'Dealers' Forum as just that, a place for enquiries,replies,praise and criticism....NOT the recent mudslinging,personal abuse and irrelevent postings.

I`ve received a few PMs from new members who have been appalled and uncomfortable at some of the content of the threads,and I agreed with them that this is not the place....it should be a straightforward source of information.

We can have fun elsewhere,ok fellas ?

Is this the reason the Southport Superbikes thread was pulled????

I know it was a different thread, I started the thread you pruned, by applauding the service I received, just wondering why you pruned the whole thread and not just the "offending" posts?

FWIW, I belive that any praise for a dealer should be openly given, and that any gripe you have with them should be fully discussed with them before posting on any forum. If the outcome is not resolved (and most dealers will try to resolve things) and only then should you post. Some dealers have gone up in my estimation by there ability to put things right.
You need to work with them not against them, tell them what you like dislike about there set up.
