Hi Guys

Adam, don't take any of the comments on here personally. Cannons have a tarnished reputation and a lot of work needs to be put in at your end to repair that. You will never please all of the people all of the time but you can please most of the people most of the time with a little effort. I hope you (and more importantly, Bill) accepts that ?

Good luck :thumb2

Hi Paul

Thanks, we all make mistakes big and small , not excusing anyone .

I have tried to make amends for any mistakes I've made in the past !

I am only 23 and have worked for Cannons for 15 months and yes its the best job in the world !!!

I appricate all bikers and am offically an RT man !!! but I dare say the new gsa in yellow is taking my fancy :)

Anyone is welcome Sunday !!! We will even have the S1000RR available to ride in an assessed test ride !!! but watch out its green !! :bounce1

We can't keep everyone happy all the time but trying to put things right with people we dont is always a good start !!!

Thanks for your time guys and lets prey for more sunshine !!! :beerjug:

I had 6000 mile service done yesterday all good ,service personal ok they even replaced my bm headstock emblem that some twat stole at the ace cafe, free of charge, lets hope things are looking up.

problem is, how can it, do we trust them enough to 'try' see if they are any better, i wouldnt, and wont.

im not even in the same county i know, but i have been in their shop, and was ignored..... thats enough for me.

cannons can shove it as far as im concerned.

Adam,
You, your colleagues and the owners have some serious issues to address with the various levels of service & support

When I came in for my first service a person collecting pats had been let down after being rung & told they were all in.
On my return to pick up the bike another persons was complaining about the fact his service wasn't completed correctly.........what is fcuking going on?????

I have never met Bill or his lady wife, but he needs to act fast & decisively to address all issues,

I know we go on a bit here, but believe me it's out of frustration...

I would suggest Bill need to make himself known on this site to answer awkward questions ... it won't be pleasant I'm sure but if he doesn't I can only see more customers departing & having to travel more miles to get their machines sorted.

Other than that Bill should have an open evening with a question & answer debate.... that will show if he has the balls to put matters right and move forward.

I know for a fact that certain staff at BM keep an eye on comments on this Forum ( My Company does a lot of work for them) ...all these negative comments & frustrated customer issues do feed back to them, and I’m sure you know dealers quite often loose their franchises for matters exactly like we are talking about.

I trust you will pass on my comments to Bill

Regards

Unfortunatly, I don't think they do. Posts on here regarding other dealers seem to suggest BMW don't care as long as they get the dosh.

i agree

i think its us who should vote on our feet, and just not bother going into these places. nevermind buying anything.

A lot of folk do where Barrie robsons is concerned....but the feker dosnt get any better by the look of things :(

Just to put my 10p worth
I went to cannons to have a look at the gs1250 some time a go the sales staff all seemed to be far to bizy cleaning there nails or playing with pc's
however when I approached. Staff guy
he was very helpfully and advised me accordingly,
I really wanted to do a test ride but aparently they had no lowered gs asked if something could be sorted and was told no. Due to cost, so I didn't get to test ride so lost a sale I went & got something else.

I have bought from Cannons in the past....

....and have aired my views on here in the past.

I had sort of hoped a new m.d would have sorted it, he seemed to have the drive.

But I recently bought a new Gsa 2010, and got quotes from 3 dealers, one of them Cannons (who were running a 'we'll beat any price for trade-ins' deal at the time.....they didn't!)

....but even if they had been the best price, offered me free service for two years, a paid touring holiday per year, and any other incentive you can think of....

....I still wouldn't have bought from them!!!.....the risk of all the bad service, inept customer relations, dodgy servicing, bordering on danderous judging by some of the posts on here...it wasn't worth the couple of hundred quid saving(if there had been any!).

I bought from a good dealer, who treated me fairly, pleasently, did me a good deal, dealt with a minor issue when I picked up my bike swiftly and without fuss, and was apologetic for the trouble...and who greet me with a smile when I go in.

Why would I want to go back to Cannons...let alone buy from them???

Reading these posts just seem to say one thing....inept!!!

If BMW do listen, then they should act....if they don't, then we should walk away and not accept shoddy service...then they will (both) be forced to!

....and in case anyone's wondering....the dealer I bought from was Linds in Norwich. Top fellas :thumb2

I can't be the only one.

Bike supplied by Cannons, best price by a long way (Linds included).
First service by Cannons, £120 compared to £190 at my local dealer.
Sensor recall by Cannons.
Fuel sender replacement by Cannons.

Not once has there been anything to worry or complain about.

Great service from Cannons

Called James at Cannons last week about fitting a Remus Hexagion and Remus downpipes, emailed me the links for pipes within 10 minutes, i called back to booked the bike in, James mentions were very busy until the middle of June but ill see if i can fit you in before that ill call you back. 10 minutes paste, phone goes off hello its James cannons can fit you in Thursday. Great i thought nice and early.
Had a call from Wednesday Morning Hello its James from Cannons, ive noticed your bike has 2 outstanding recalls on them, do you want them done tomorrow as well? Cracking i thought, There must be another cannons in Braintree.
Pops in this morning as planned, greeted with happy faces, token for the coffee machine told where the resting area was, mentioned to James im on the look out for some pannier rails for my GSA, ok he says, ill get the price and i may even have some in stock.
15 minutes pass up comes James with a pair of pannier rails, ive these laying around they came of a GSA not that long ago, ill do them at cost for you. Blimey im thinking this is definatly not the cannons ive heard about. You best get them put on then James.
Bike was done on time, James came out and showed me what had been done and checked everythign had been done.

Would i use Cannons again? On todays performance yes without a shadow of a doubt.

Pleased to hear it. Well done James :thumb2

My 1200 is currently with them after being recovered there with a suspected dead battery. I am due to go to France on it tomorrow, and they have told me they will do what they can...

Service dept have been good today so far and this could be the chance the folks at Cannon BMW have to get me back as a customer again.

Full report to follow. :augie

Bought a GS from Cannons 2.5 years ago.
Had the first service with them then used Linds in Norwich, when they opened.
In that time I never heard from cannons until yesterday, asking if I still had the bike and was I interested in the special event on 16th jUNE.(I think?) to view the 2010 range.

Then an E-mail this morning about a track weekend in France (Folembray Circuit).
Too late! Just bought a new GSA from Linds in Norwich. If I had had some communications I might have troubled to travel the extra 30 miles when looking for a new bike.
Good communications keeps customers.
