Can't get my route up on Zumo .

I posted this earlier on, but on a different thread.

Heading off to Europe shortly and plotted a route on mapsource.

I then transferred it on to my Zumo 550 and according to the pop up

windows, the download was successful.

When I switched on the Zumo, it showed did I want to manage new data

(route) which I did. The name of the route I had downloaded popped up, I

pressed 'import' and it then it showed I had successfully imported it.

When I go to 'routes' nothing there. I can download Points of Interest no

problem and find them. I've no problem making up routes on the zumo itself.

Am I doing anything wrong and if so what.

Just a thought did you check all the correct boxes (cicles) in Mapsource prior to downloading to your 550 ?
 
I have exactly the same problem when I open road trip except I get an error message (ERROR loading user data, user data file is corrupted and back up file is corrupted. No user data will be loadedby road trip).. I've tried re loading the garmin application and it seems to make no difference. I am sure there must be some wizard out there who has a fix for this.

I have been in contact with Garmin (free phone) and they have tried their best
to sort it out with via various emails/downloads. I can say they've been very helpful but it still hasn't sorted the problem out.
I sent the unit over to them to see if they can sort it out. It'll just not load up routes from mapsource. everything else is dead on.

Here's hoping.
 
I've fixed it. Have you tried reseting the unit. I did it and can now upload data. If you don't already know you can reset the unit as follows. With it switch off hold you finger on the bottom right hand corner of the screen and switch it on. Hold you finger there until a pop up appears asking you if you want to reset the unit. You will loose all of the data on the unit but you can upload data again and you should be able to upload all of your old route from your computer(I think!). I did go one step further by clearing everything off my computer and reloading basecamp. I did this before reseting the unit, it didn't rectify the problem but as I have a mac it works better on the computer. Good luck with the reset and let me know if it works.

I cleared everything off the unit also resetting it as you described.
It'll just not show up the routes, even though its says on the unit
that all data has been successfully imported.:confused: Waypoints are no
problem, it's just routes.
Hoping Garmin can fix it.

Units up and running.
According to garmin, there was a route 'hidden' away in it which was causing all the problems, though when you went into routes, nothing showed up. The main thing is it's working.
Can't say enough about Garmin and it's help line. 100%:thumb
